Have you ever thought the best way of storing all your kid’s toys is to just hire a builder’s skip and have done with it? You have, it’s not just me then? This might be an idea you’ll find appealing and one your children will be ecstatic about – a personalised toy skip.
OK,they are not full-sized skips and I wouldn’t recommend using them for builder’s rubble – but for your kid’s clutter they are ideal. Solidly made from 15mm thick MDF they come in 3 sizes – Mini, Midi and Maxi.
- The mini skip is L48 x H27 x W26 cm and more of a decorative item for small trinkets and the like.
- The midi skip is L64 x H36 x W36 cm and suitable for action figures, small toys, etc.
- The maxi skip is L80 x H45 x W45 cm and ideal for general toy storage, much as you’d use a standard size toy box for.
You can also get personalised stickers to put on the side and the skips are available in a selection of colours. The standard cost is £60 for the smallest skip, £75 for the medium or £90 for the large one. Personalised stickers are an extra £15 and some colour choices bear an extra charge as well. Not the cheapest toy storage solution but a novel idea nonetheless. Made in the UK by Bluewell Theme Beds
The same idea but a bit cheaper is this JCB themed skip from Kidsaw with a simple slot together design. Measuring L61 x H38 x W33 cm it’s a fair size and suitable for general toy storage. From amazon and there’s a range of matching bedroom furniture too.
